Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information eSkore collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. If you've read a privacy policy before this will look familiar; we've tried to keep the language plain.
We collect the minimum we need to run a tournament management service, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account information. Name, email, password (hashed), and any profile details you choose to add.
- Tournament content. The events you create: team names, schedules, scores, standings, player information, venue addresses. You enter this; we store it on your behalf.
- Usage data. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, timestamps) and anonymized analytics (which features get used, how long pages take to load).
We do not collect health, financial, or political information. We do not run third party advertising trackers.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Run the Service: host your tournaments, generate brackets, send notifications
- Communicate with you: confirm sign up, respond to support requests, send service announcements
- Improve the product: see which features get used, where users get stuck
- Keep the platform secure: detect abuse, prevent fraud, investigate violations of our Terms
- Meet legal obligations
Public tournament pages
Tournaments you create can be set to public or private from the tournament settings panel. Public tournaments expose the bracket, schedule, scores, standings, and basic player profiles (name, jersey number, team) to anyone with the link.
Private tournaments are visible only to the organizer and invited team managers. You can switch a tournament from public to private at any time.
Player names and statistics from public tournaments are discoverable via search engines unless you opt out. Players can claim their auto generated profile and adjust visibility from their account.
Data retention
We keep account information as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we keep a minimal record for 90 days (in case you change your mind, or for legal obligations), then permanently delete it.
Tournament data is retained while at least one organizer of that tournament has an active account. You can export everything to CSV from the tournament settings panel before deleting.
Server logs are kept for 30 days unless we need them longer to investigate a security incident.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and the data associated with it
- Export your tournament data in a portable format (CSV)
- Object to certain processing or restrict it
- Withdraw consent we've previously relied on
To exercise any of these, email eskore.com@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, hashed passwords, and standard access controls on our production systems. No system is completely secure; if we discover a breach affecting your data we'll notify you within 72 hours.
Children
eSkore is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
For tournaments involving youth players (U13 and below), we ask organizers to obtain consent from parents before publishing player names and statistics on a public tournament page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. If a change is material we'll notify registered users by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
